Another of my beginner cards using Tsukineko & Opalite Inks on white cardstock with Stickles glitter glue for embellishments. Most of the butterflies are Inkadinkado stamps. By now I’m sure you can see that I’m stuck on butterflies and dragonflies but I do love them! I did give a couple of cards without grabbing photos first. Next I will be branching out to try layers and new things with card making.
Tsukineko Brilliance Ink, Opalite ink, Stickles glitter glue on black cardstock
On this card and the others I also used Stickles glitter glue for embellishment. Note that on the black cardstock or the white the different colors of the Pearl Ex just doesn’t show as different colors like I wanted it to. Still pretty but I would have liked to have seen more definition of the gorgeous Pearl Ex colors.
I have finally made a few of my own handmade cards as well as utilizing my Pearl Ex(Jaquard) pigments which I love! They are far from perfect but I like the way they turned out. I will post a few pictures, hopefully. The iridescence and colors just don’t show like it does in person. They are fun to turn back and forth under good lighting or the sun to see the iridescent change in colors! The first card picture I attempted stamping off the try to convey motion of one of the butterflies. I’m not really pleased with how it turned out but I still got quite a few compliments.
Tried a new recipe that was a huge hit for an invite to Easter dinner, Cinnamon Bun Cake, aka Cinabun cake. Here’s the link if you want to check it out: http://iamaddictedtorecipes.blogspot.ca/2013/10/cinabun-cake-cinnamon-bun-cake.html
